The Design Process
A methodological approach allows Jamie Nöelle Interior Design the ability to fully understand what solutions work best for each project. Jamie works directly with the client to carefully craft a look that will reflect their personality and create the lifestyle statement they've been searching for. Unfortunately, the design process doesn't happen overnight. Some phases go faster than others. Some are more involved than others. Obstacles arise. Contractors run behind. Back orders happen. Don't worry...In the end, it's always worth the wait. You will have a one-of-a-kind space that was created especially for you in mind. Each design project has a unique timeline, but here's an idea what you can expect from start to finish:

Step One: Get to Know You
The first step is a detailed phone call (or email, if you prefer) to discuss your design needs and desires. After an initial discussion, it will be mutually determined whether Jamie Nöelle Design is a good fit for your project. If so, we move forward and schedule an initial design consult that will take place in your home.
Step Two: Get to Know Your Home
The design consultation at the client's home typically takes roughly one-two hours. This is where the designer will ask a LOT of questions to determine your tastes and lifestyle needs. You'll tell Jamie about your ideas and desires, share the design space you're considering, and discuss expectations and timelines. This is a mutual interview. At the end of the first meeting, it will be determined if we're a good fit to meet each other's needs. Measurements and photos are typically taken at this meeting, but can also be scheduled at a later date and time if preferable.

Step Three: The Paperwork
Jamie will take back the information gathered and put together a proposal and agreement based upon our discussion that will include the scope of the project, anticipated timeline, and projected fees. Once the proposal is signed and deposit is made, the magic begins!
Step Four: The Magic!
Design work starts at this phase. Based upon the scope of work, this can include: space planning, elevations, surface, fixtures, furnishings, equipment, lighting and appliance selections, design boards, hardware, upholstery, and wall color/finish selections. Jamie Nöelle Design will help narrow down the choices and assist with selecting and sourcing your materials.

Step Five: The Nitty Gritty
Once the design decisions are made, the construction, ordering and processing begins. Throughout this project, Jamie Noelle Design works with a variety of vendors, craftsmen, and tradespeople. Timelines are determined, furnishings are made, and freight is coordinated to ensure your items are on schedule. During this time, you can expect the designer to be involved with contractors, plumbers, tilers, artisans, millworkers, and painters (to name a few!) Your life will be in disarray. Don't worry! Rest assured it'll be worth it in the end, but please know it is a stressful time for most homeowners.
Step Six: The Reveal!
After the construction is done, the placement of all the furnishings takes place. This is the "icing on the cake" you've been waiting for. The designer will come in and thoughtfully place all your new decor and arrange your brand new space. And then it's time for the big reveal!
